Dr. Hakim was really wonderful to work with and does great work. I went to him because I wanted an implant to replace a back lower molar that had been extracted. I had partial braces to lift the upper molar which had fallen in the years following the tooth extraction. Dr. Hakim was able to masterfully lift the molars via braces, enabling me to get an implant on my lower molar. When I started the orthodontic work, I was having an extremely hard time financially. I'm a single mom, my car had just died, I had lost over $2000 in income from furlough days and was overwhelmed. Dr. Hakim worked out a payment plan. I was actually able to pay in full before the work was completed.

Prior to rejoining the "Orthospaceship" team, I was constantly confronted with empty promises and extended treatments that truly made me lose my trust. Ever orthodontist would either give me false dates or no date at all. So, fed up with all this, I decided to come back to Dr. Hakim. It had been many years, but the second I got here I felt at home. I asked him straight how much longer will I have to bear the burden of braces. He told me bluntly, "You can have them off in six months time." Dr. Hakim is an awesome orthodontist. I was in so much pain from my jaw with TMJ. He gave me a splint to help out with the inflammation and was always available to see me and made time when I needed to come in and make adjustments as my bite changed and muscles relaxed, sometimes up to three times in one week. This really helped my healing move along faster. Now after having surgery and braces to realign my jaw I have almost no jaw pain at all. I was having daily constant migraines which completely went away after surgery. I highly recommend anyone to come see Dr. Hakim. He will take very good care of you. He was as concerned as a father to me and I owe him so much for greatly improving my quality of life. Please, if you have jaw pain and neck pain like I did, come and make an appointment to see Dr. Hakim. You won't regret it! He really cares about making you better and making your pain go away. Most doctors don't really appreciate the pain and really investigate the cause like he does. I have been seeing Dr. Hakim for five years and nearly three months and he has always been there for me. Thank-you so much Dr. Hakim for giving me my life back. I will miss coming to see you after all these years you've taken such good care of me.

Getting braces again in my 30s...are you kidding me? It seemed like social suicide. But in order to reduce my TMJ pain, as a general dentist, I knew it was not only the ideal route of treatment, but necessary. So it really wasn't a difficult choice to make. As a designer, I have always enjoyed the meticulous details of replicating the feel of a spaceship.
